The scaling of figures was not ideal, but at least it got out

The above preprint was submitted to a French competition on
the subject of evolution,
which was advertised in the Scientific American. This is
a story in itself,
it actually won an honorable mention, and a prize of 2000
Francs.

That the solid core of the Earth flips during magnetic field
reversals,
and that there is a persistent vortex in the geomagnetic
dynamo. Could be!
